Christian Staack

CEO

Christian Staack is the CEO of SEI Consult, overseeing business development and operations at the spatial economic intelligence consulting company. He is a sales, business development and operations management veteran with over 25 years of experience.

Mr. Staack spent the previous 17 years in the technology industry, most recently as NaturalMotion's VP of Worldwide Sales, Head of US office and Head of Licensing for the CSR mobile racing game franchise. He helped growing NaturalMotion from an animation technology startup of 20 people into a 300-people leading games and technology company. His responsibilities included growing and managing worldwide sales, opening offices in the USA, Japan, Korea and China, heading operations at the San Francisco office, heading various business development projects regarding partnerships and heading IP licensing for the successful mobile car racing game franchise CSR. In late 2013, Mr. Staack helped facilitate the nearly $600M sale of NaturalMotion to Zynga and the integration of NaturalMotion's US employees into Zynga’s workforce.

Prior to the technology industry, Mr. Staack held various management positions in the hospitality industry, the latest as the COO of the Grand Hotel Wiesler in Graz, Austria.

Mr. Staack is originally from Germany, where he acquired a BS equivalent in hospitality management and economics from the Hotel Management School in Heidelberg, Germany.

Johannes Moenius

Principal Economist

Johannes Moenius teaches global business at the University of Redlands. He is the founding director of the Institute for Spatial Economic Analysis (ISEA) and holds the William R. and S. Sue Johnson Endowed Chair of Spatial Economic Analysis and Regional Planning.

Previously, he taught at the Kellogg School of Management and was a visiting scholar at Tokyo University. He studied Management Science at Bamberg University and Economics at the Technical University in Dresden, Queen’s University, Canada and UCSD, where he received his Ph.D.

He is a regular contributor to the media, such as LA Times, NPR, and PBS. He has presented his work in more than 150 talks at universities, conferences, and government institutions.
